Ramnagar High School was established on 10th February, 1909 under the joint leadership of the late Girish Chandra Mitra, a resident of Ramnagar, and Satish Chandra Ghosh, a resident of Khatnagar. What began as a humble institution has grown into one of the most respected schools in Purba Bardhaman.
Over the past 115 years, the school has been upgraded under the patronage of innumerable educated and visionary individuals from this community. The school has become a place of pilgrimage — walked upon by generations of wise musicians, scholars, students and teachers who have shaped its spirit.
Today, Ramnagar High School (H.S.) continues its journey with the same spirit — committed to nurturing not just academic excellence, but responsible, compassionate and courageous citizens.
