Message from the Headmaster
It is my great pleasure and privilege to welcome you to the official website of Ramnagar High School (H.S.). Being entrusted with the responsibility of leading such a vibrant and dedicated school community is a matter of immense honour for me.
Ramnagar High School was established on 10th February, 1909 under the joint leadership of the late Girish Chandra Mitra, a resident of Ramnagar, and Satish Chandra Ghosh, a resident of Khatnagar. Over the past 115 years, the school has grown steadily under the patronage of innumerable educated and visionary individuals from this community.
"The school has become a place of pilgrimage — a hallowed ground walked upon by generations of wise musicians, scholars, students and teachers who have shaped the spirit of this institution."
As the Teacher-in-Charge of this school, I wish to express my sincere gratitude to all the generous educators and administrators who have extended their full support to this institution since its very inception. Their selfless dedication continues to inspire us every day.
It is a well-known fact that 80% of our students come from economically backward and underprivileged families. Yet, the environment of this school — shaped by a committed management committee, dedicated teachers, hardworking non-teaching staff, and the warmth and love of the local community — makes Ramnagar High School truly stand apart.
The students of this school are not just learners — they are our greatest strength and our deepest affection. We believe in nurturing not just their academic abilities, but their character, values and confidence. We strive to build in each child a sense of responsibility, integrity and a desire to contribute meaningfully to society.
